It was beautiful
As long as it lasted,
The journey of my life.”
See Yang entered this life on June 5th, 1934 in Naj Los, Laos. She was the oldest daughter of Txia Moua (mother) and Paj Txoo Yang (father). In September of 1955 she married Wa Cheng Vang and lived a full loving life together until her final peace on October 9th, 2018. She was a self-starter with an entrepreneur mindset and never afraid to work hard. In Laos she had multiple businesses before refugeeing to Thailand after the Secret War and further to the United States.
See was also an herbal healer, learning the art from her uncle who passed the knowledge from generations of healers. Often when See was on a nature walk with her grandchildren, you’d find her staring at a shrub, you could be sure she was contemplating what healing powers it had. She always had a kitchen filled with snacks for her grandchildren and eagerly overfed anyone who walked through her door.
See easily befriended strangers with her talkative nature and contagious laugh. Even sick on hospice, she made silly faces at her nurses, lightening the mood for her inevitable passing. After 47 days (surpassing the average expectancy) of being off dialysis from renal failure, she peacefully left this life. She is survived by her adoring husband, children, grandchildren and countless friends.
