He was married for 49 years to Gloria, who he met on a double date with Lee Fanucchi. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He was retired from State of California as a safety engineer consultant with Cal-OSHA. Throughout his working career he also was a raisin farmer. He was a past Master of Las Palmas Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites with over 50 years as a mason, Past Director for State Employee Association, Master Gardener of University of Cal- Davis and was a member of Edison Social Club and American Legion. Bob loved to hunt, fish, garden, play poker, travel and be with his friends and family. He loved life and was a very positive happy person who loved to be with people. He cherished being with his family and talked with pride about his brothers, sister, children, grandchildren and the rest of his family. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife and brothers, Richard Larsen, James Larsen and Ron Markus. He is survived by his sister Loraine Kuhn; brothers Harry and Henry Markus; sister-in-law/brother-in-law Valerie and Al Giorgi; son Robert Larsen Jr.; daughter Sharon Smith and her husband Donald Smith; grandchildren Michelle Smith-Larson and husband Chris Larson; Lisa Busick and husband Bryan Busick; Bradley Larsen and wife Ashley and Devon Larsen; great grandchildren Kaylie Herndon and Logann Busick; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm, Memorial services will be at Lisle Funeral Home, Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a graveside ceremony at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
