Phyllis was born in Los Angeles on September 12, 1924 to Leila Harris and Jack White. She was married to the late Theodore S. Cribari, founder and president of Cribari Vineyards, Inc., for 49 years.
She is survived by her sister, Gwendolyn Walsh; her three children, Suzanne Guyette Citara, Theodore S. Cribari, Jr., and John Fiore Cribari; their spouses Bill Citara, Patricia Colter, and Cathy Cribari; her four grandchildren, Ted Cribari III, Stephen Cribari, Ben Cribari and Michael Cribari; and her three great grandchildren, Landon Enzo Cribari, Elle Cribari and Declan Cribari.
Golf and bridge were her two big loves besides her family and friends. She served as captain of women’s golf at Sunnyside Country Club and belonged to a bridge group there, along with many other bridge groups over the years.
Phyllis served on the boards of Holiday Guild, Candlelight and Catholic Social Service. She was a member of St. Therese’s Parish since 1946 and belonged to the St. Therese’s Elementary School and San Joaquin Memorial High School parents’ clubs. She was also a member of the Monday Study Club.

A Rosary for Phyllis will be held on Monday, August 20th, at 7 p.m., at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Chapel, 1525 E. Saginaw Way. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Shrine of St. Therese on Tuesday, August 21st, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be sent to St. Agnes Hospital Holy Cross Center for Women, or the donor’s favorite charity.
