He was born in Fresno, California on June 17,1942 and was the oldest child of Albert and Adeline Kandarian.
Norman was a graduate of Laton Joint Union High School and attended Fresno State College. He sang in the choir at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where he met his wife of 59 years, Carol Ann. They married in 1964 and had four children and six grandchildren.
Norman worked in the title business in Fresno and Madera for 60 years and was known for always working the most difficult cases to their completion.
He and his family have been members of St. Helen's Catholic Church for 57 years, celebrating many baptisms, confirmations and marriages in the church.
Norman is survived by his wife Carol Ann, daughters Wendy Kandarian of Alexandria, Virginia, and Jill Valero, sons Mark Kandarian of Clovis and Todd Kandarian of Fresno; son-in-law Phillip Valero; brother Larry Kandarian and wife Marianne of Los Osos; sister Sharon Montejano and husband Richard of Atascadero; sister-in-law Darlene Martin and husband Michael of Fowler; grandchildren Allison Kandarian of Vineyard, Utah, Samuel Kandarian of Fresno, Anakin, Joseph, Nevaeh and Serra Valero, many nieces and nephews and many other loving extended family members. Norman will be missed and forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 4 - 7 P.M. at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel. Rosary and Funeral mass will be held at St. Helen's Catholic Church on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 9:30 A.M.. Burial to follow at Belmont Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family would appreciate donations to the American Heart Association and the National Kidney Foundation in remembrance of Norman.
