Michael J. Harris

Michael was an avid pool player, and played with his team from Rebco and Classic Billiards for 24 years. He also loved bowling, riding his scooter and cruising with his wife Rita. Michael worked at American Grape Harvesters in Fresno since 1994, doing a little bit of everything. His earlier career endeavors included owner of John's Coffee Shop in Richmond Ca., and Paramedic Service in Livermore and Fresno.

We give our gratitude and appreciation to the staff of California Cancer Center, Dr. Dina Ibrahim and staff, and Hinds Hospice of Fresno.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, John Will Harris; and mother, Mary L. Harris.

He is survived by Rita, his loving wife of 37 years, of Fresno; daughters, Johna Van Den Bos and her husband Mike, of Clovis, Vicki Lund and her husband Chris, of Fresno, and Salena Gonzales and her husband Ben of Auburn, Wa.; son, Michael Harris II and his wife Charlotte, of Fresno; seven grandchildren, with one on the way.

Visitation will be held at Stephens and Bean Chapel on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens and Bean Chapel on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., with a Graveside Service and reception immediately following.
