Our best brother and uncle, Michael C. Avila passed away July 7, 2017 at the age of 61. He was born in Madera, CA where he attended St. Joachim’s Catholic School and graduated from Madera High School in 1974. Michael graduated from California State University Fresno with a Bachelors Degree. He moved to Fresno in 1978 and worked for Channel 47 for 30 years. He edited and filmed all the baseball games at Grizzly Stadium and operations and medical procedures that the surgeons performed at Fresno Community Hospital.
He loved golf, music, sports and photography.
He is survived by Linda Gonzales, Tom, Tim Avila, Kenny, Lupe , Melanie, Justin, Mariah, Justin, Jr. Ryan, Monique and Curtis, Jack Lara, partner Sandy Rodriguez, Jennifer and Timmy Jr., great niece and nephews, family and friends.
He will reside next to our mother and father at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
