Maria Luisa (Bautista) Valdez

Maria was called home by our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 11, 2021, in Fresno, California. She was 82 years old. Maria was profoundly devoted to her faith, her beloved husband, and her family. She was the rock and heart of her family.

Maria had a special love for the Blessed Virgin Mary and an intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. She loved to pray, loved to dance, loved to shop, and was a born negotiator.

Maria was the brightest, most joyful light to anyone and everyone she met. She was kind, loving, compassionate, and generous with her time for anyone in need. Maria was always willing to share her wisdom, stories of her travels to the shrines and apparitions of our Lady, and the power of prayer.

Maria was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Deacon Edward C. Valdez; her six loving children, Lisa, Edward, Vivian, Dominic, Yvette, Valerie; and nine grandchildren. She is now with our Lord in Heaven.

There will be a Rosary at 7:00pm on November 2nd and a funeral mass at 10:00am on November 3rd at St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church in Fresno.

Nuestra queridísima María entró al reino de Nuestro Padre Celestial el lunes, 11 de octubre, 2021 en Fresno, California a los 82 años. En vida, María estaba profundamente dedicada a su fe, a su amado esposo y a su familia. Ella era el centro y corazón de su familia.

María tenía una gran pasión por la Divina Virgen María y por Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, a quienes adoraba profundamente. A ella le encantaba rezar, le encantaba bailar, le encantaba ir de compras y era una negociadora sin igual.

María era una luz brillante y su alegría contagiaba a todos a su alrededor. Ella era amable, cariñosa, compasiva y muy generosa con su tiempo para todos los necesitados. María siempre estaba dispuesta a compartir su sabiduría, sus experiencias sobre sus viajes a santuarios y apariciones de Nuestra Señora y el poder de rezar.

María siempre fue una esposa, madre, y abuela amada. Le sobreviven su esposo de 55 años, el

Diácono Edward C. Valdez; sus seis queridos hijos, Lisa, Edward, Vivian, Dominic, Yvette, Valerie; y nueve nietos. Ella ahora descansa con Nuestro Señor en el Paraíso.

El rosario se oficiará a las 7:00pm el dos de noviembre y la misa funeraria será a las 10:00am el 3 de noviembre en la Iglesia Católica St. Anthony of Padua de Fresno.
