the presence of her family at her daughter’s home in Clovis, California.
Linda was born on July 18th, 1948 in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in a large family with her mother Cora, her father Angel, her four brothers, and her four sisters. She often shared fond memories of her family visiting her grandparents who lived nearby her home in Los Angeles. Linda’s parents moved the family to live in Fresno, California when she was just in elementary school. She went on to attend Roosevelt High School and graduated in 1967. She was the first person in her family to earn a high school diploma.
In 1967, Linda met Ben Borunda and fell in love. They were married three months after their first date. Linda and Ben were blessed to be married for 54 years. They had two children: their daughter Loraine and their son Benjamin Junior. Linda and Ben raised their family in Fresno, California, where she lived for the rest of her life. Linda had an admirably strong work ethic. She was a realtor for a short time and worked in a medical office for almost two decades. She loved to spend her free time crafting, baking gourmet cakes, floral design, and sewing, all of which she was extraordinarily talented in. Linda enjoyed giving her time and talent to the Right to Life of Central California, St. Anthony’s School, and San Joaquin Memorial High School.
In addition to her volunteer work, Linda loved her family’s group, The Bouquet of Roses. She enjoyed writing the newsletter, hosting gatherings, and preparing meals for meetings. Being a wife and mother to her two children was a role Linda loved and cherished. She found great joy in being a grandmother to her three grandchildren: Isabella, Joseph, and Juliana. Attending her grandchildren’s events and sports activities was something Linda always looked forward to. She was always eager to design and sew a costume, cheer at a game, or volunteer at their schools.
Linda’s family would like to give their great appreciation and thanks to Hinds Hospice of Fresno, California for their guidance and care. Linda was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by; her husband Ben Borunda, her daughter Loraine Borunda Ray, her son-in-law David Ray, her grandchildren Isabella Ray, Joseph Ray, and Juliana Ray, her son Benjamin Borunda Jr., and her daughter-in-law Renée Borunda.
