Laura Virginia Jordan

Laura was born on October 9, 1927, in Skiatook, OK to her parents, John Frank Goins and Axie (Partin) Goins. She was the youngest of 5 children. Laura was 18 months old when her mother passed away of pneumonia, and she was raised by her father and her siblings. Laura graduated from Skiatook High School and shortly after that, on December 27, 1944, she married Leonard Leon Jordan. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband on March 7, 2017, after 73 years of marriage. Their marriage was a testament to love, loyalty and devotion, in good times and bad.

Laura retired from Gottschalks in Fresno, after 30 years as an assistant buyer. She was a wonderful and loving mother, and an independent and strong woman, even without a mother of her own to emmulate. She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her family - of vacations, holidays, and gatherings, and our wonderful annual mother/daughter trips we took for over 30 years.

She is loved and will be missed by her four daughters and their families: Glenda Rose (Ron), Betty Plett (Gary), Kay Hall (Roger) & Trisha Hedstrom (Ray).

Grandchildren: Michele, Lisa, Christy, Lance, Mindi, & Brian.

Great Grandchildren: Kailee, Dustin, Nick, Ryan, Ivorie, Quinn & Tyler.

Great Great Grandchildren: Talyn, Josh, Alexandria, Graysen, Scarlett & Benjamin.

We would like to thank Arminda Hernandez for her loving care of Mom. Also CCH 3rd floor and Hinds Hospice Home for your excellent, compassionate care of our Mother.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N.Teilman Ave. Fresno, CA 93706. Reception to follow at Stephens & Bean Oak Room, 202 N. Teilman Ave., Fresno, CA 93706.

Contributions may be made to Hinds Hospice Home, 1416 W. Twain Ave., Fresno, CA 93711 to honor Mom.
