Kong Tim Lau passed away in Fresno on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at the age of 97. He was born in Canton, China on March 13, 1916. Kong Tim was in retail management for over forty years.

Kong Tim was preceded in death by his parents; Julio and Josefina Lau, his son Julio "Eddie" Lau, and sisters; Tula Lau and Carlota Low.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ona Lau, of Fresno; his children, Pearl Gong and husband Wallace, Doris Gong and husband Bill, Teresa Montoya and husband Nicolas, Antonio Lau and wife Trudy, Sor Ana Maria Lau of Peru, Luisa Kong and husband Jorge, Lucy Gong and husband Kenny, Maye Carabajal and husband Ernest. Kong Tim is also survived by his siblings, Luis Lau, Rosa Fong, Elena Tam and husband Julio, Irma Wong and husband Wilson, Juan Lau and his wife Paulina; his 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Stephens and Bean Chapel on Thursday, November 7, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m at Stephens and Bean Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Friday, November 8, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
