Kazuto Sasaki

Ky passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at the age of 97. He was born on August 14, 1914, in Selma, Ca. He was raised in Reedley, Ca. and was the oldest of eight children born to Kaiichiro and Kiyome Sasaki.

Ky graduated from Reedley High School and moved to Los Angeles to work. While in Los Angeles, he met and married Michiye Doi and they recently celebrated their 70th anniversary in September. They were intered in Poston, Az. during World War II. Upon returning to Central California, he began his gardening business Fresno where he worked for 45 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Stanley; brothers Hideo and Chick; and sisters, Ethel Doi and Iyoko "Yonkie" Hamada.

Ky is survived by his wife Michiye; daughter, Elaine and her spouse John Yoshikawa, and their children Jill and Spencer and his spouse Courtney and their daughter Chloe; son Steven and his spouse Margaret; daughter Faye; granddaughter, Elaine and her spouse David Hallaway and their children Kai, Roger and Benjamin; brothers, Susumu and his spouse Joan; and Jim; sister, Helen Nakayama; and numerous, nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
