It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Vasquez, a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Nephew, Tio and Friend. His departure on June 13, 2023, leaves a void that can never be filled, yet we find comfort in the knowledge he has been reunited with his beloved mother, Beatrice Garcia Vasquez, who undoubtedly welcomed him into her loving arms. While our hearts ache with grief, we take solace in knowing that Joseph is now at peace, surrounded by the eternal love of his family. He was also preceded in death by his father Joe Vasquez, his grandparents Fred and Saturnina Garcia lovingly known to him as Tata and Grandma Nina, his sisters, Christina Alvarado and Tina Herrera, and his brother, Johnny Vasquez.
Joseph is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Myra, who stood by his side in sickness and in health, sharing a love that knew no bounds. He is also survived by his cherished daughter, Brittney Vasquez, who brought him immense pride and comfort throughout his life. Joseph's legacy of love extends further through his daughter, Jennifer Torres, and her spouse, Victor Torres. Together, they formed a beautiful family welcoming four beautiful children. Joseph's heart overflowed with pride and joy as he embraced the role of a doting grandfather to Jillian, Nicholas, Evan, and Siscily Torres. His love for them knew no limits, and his memory will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Joseph, a talented and dedicated photographer, gracefully captured life's precious moments for over four decades. His career began at Mariposa Studio, a cherished family-owned establishment situated across from the majestic St. John's Cathedral in Fresno, California. Throughout his journey, Joseph fostered a profound connection with the church, providing his services to parishioners on numerous occasions as they celebrated their sacred sacraments. For years, he worked in collaboration with St. John's Cathedral, skillfully documenting the faithful as they received their holy sacraments. From the serene rites of baptism to the momentous occasions of first communion, confirmation, holy matrimony, and ordination, Joseph artistically captured the essence and significance of these deeply spiritual milestones. Rest in peace, dear Joseph. May your photographs continue to inspire and touch the hearts of those who view them, and may your memory be eternally intertwined with the cherished moments you so beautifully documented.
Joseph loved people, and his animated conversations seemed to have no end. He derived immense pleasure from frequently visiting his friends and family, often expressing his desire to visit together, or suggesting a spontaneous outing to grab a quick bite to eat together. His efforts to connect with others extended beyond face-to-face encounters, as he always made the effort to reach out through text messages and phone calls. Joseph was not only a lover of people but a lover of things. His persona overflowed with such magnitude that it surpassed the boundaries of his mortal form. He adorned his surroundings with his beloved clothing, an abundance of collections, and thoughtful gifts he gathered along his journey, intended for his beloved friends and family. To his family and friends, Joseph was a constant source of love and
support, he effortlessly captured the moments that mattered most, preserving treasured memories for generations to come.

From young party days full of uninhibited revelry, spontaneous adventures, and magical moments on the dance floor where you moved with an unmatched rhythm and undeniable charisma, your energy was contagious, drawing others into your orbit and inspiring them to let loose and fully embrace the beauty and fun of the moment.
