Jorge Ramon Acuna

Jorge was born and raised in Mexico, and came to the United States at the age 16 where Jorge worked as a farm laborer. Jorge eventually became a naturalized U.S. Citizen, he worked for many years as a clothing salesman. Jorge also became involved in local civic and political causes.

Jorge met the love of his life, Carmen Gonzales in Mendota, California and they were married in 1956 and enjoyed there marriage for 60 years until Carmen passing in 2006.

In 1976 Jorge and Carmen purchased a Catholic Religious Supply business, which became San Joaquin Religious Good, which they owned for over 30 years.

Jorge is survived by his daughter Rose Marie Stock, his son Jorge Martin Acuna and grandchildren; Brandon Stock, Cassandra Stock, Orion Jenks, Alexandro Acuna, Kyle Acuna and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Jorge will be held Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720 followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church, 2838 N West Ave, Fresno, CA 93705 followed by a Committal Service at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, 264 N Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
