John Silva was born at the Naval Hospital in San Diego California on August 16, 1954. He lived in Imperial Beach, Ca with his parents and three brothers until June of 1963 when the family moved to San Jose. John attended Fischer Middle School then William C. Overfelt High School. In High School John excelled in science and electronics. At the age of 17 years old John designed and built his own 16 channel mixing console in his parents garage. He then opened the Sound Hound Recording Studio in San Jose. In the late 1970s John owned a used car lot in downtown San Jose.
In early 1980s, John moved to Watsonville where he met his wife Martha. After getting married, John and his wife traveled extensively. In their travels, John enjoyed learning different cultures, languages and making friends.
In 1992 John and his wife moved to Fresno where he ultimately went back to his first love, which was electronics and he founded Electronic Solutions Plus. John reinvented numerous products and processes to monitor and control refrigeration. He also designed, programmed and produced his own circuit boards. Some of his processes were pending patent approval when he passed.
As a hobby, John played the drums and he formed a live band. John was the Audio Engineer for "Nite Groove"; the CD recorded in the Sound Hound recording studio that he opened at the age of 17 years old.
Most of all John was a great friend, brother, uncle and husband.
John is survived by his wife Martha Silva and brother Robert Silva
