He is survived by his two loving daughters, Patricia Acevedo and Lorraine Mena along with their husbands, Abel Acevedo and Louis Mena; his grandchildren Lisamarie Tristan, Anita Tristan, Marshall Sanchez, Stephanie Flores, Jimmy Tristan Jr, and Brandon Minson; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He is reunited with the beautiful love of his life, Connie, and his daughter Velvet, his “Dimple”.
He was respected and loved by many. So much so that he had several namesakes. He will be remembered for his love of music, his singing and guitar playing, his green thumb, his jokes, his generosity, his strength, wisdom and strong work ethic. He was the most hardest working man. They just don’t make them like that anymore. But mostly he will be remembered for his love of the Lord. He passed that love on to all of us. He always said the most important thing in life is love. Love the Lord. Love your family. Love even the ones that don’t act like they want it. He read his bible every day and that brought him the peace he had in his life.
We are all so grateful to God that we got to spend his final days with him. We just know his wife Connie and his daughter Velvet were waiting to welcome him at the gates of Heaven, along with his brother Eli & sisters Esther and Carol, and his mother Isabel.
So now he is forever relaxing with the love of his life “Down by the riverside...”
