John a lifelong native of Fresno, passed away on November 6, 2013. He is survived by his son, John Richard Sandoval, two brothers, Cuauhtémoc (Jess) and David, two sisters Xochtil (Penny) Elek, and Teresa Salcido, 4 grandchildren , 9 great grandchildren, and many nephew and nieces. John was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha, Manuel and Maria, father and mother and his siblings: Manito, Trinidad, Manuel, Teresa, Maria, Cleofas, and Victoria.
John served in the Korean Conflict, receiving the rank of Sargent as a Communication Specialist.
He was employed by the Vendo Company, retiring after 25 years, and was valued for his organizational skill and resourcefulness.
John touched many lives, leaving his loving imprint on both family and friends. He leaves a legacy of fond relationships, and will be remembered for his willingness to give to others, his sincere love of animals and for his deep rooted commitment to his faith. He will be greatly missed.
