He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and was proud to be present at the Potsdam Conference.
The great joy of John's life was working with children. For many years he coached Little League Baseball. He spent more than 20 years teaching First Communion to two generations at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, which he was influential in establishing.
John was preceded in death by his first wife, Ardie Cipolla to whom he was married for 32 years; and by his second wife, Jane Cipolla to whom he was married for 29 years.
He is survived by his son, Jim Cipolla and his wife Fran, their two sons Michael and Andrew and their granddaughter; his daughter, Kathi Grandi and her husband David, their daughter, Jennifer, and son Jeff; his step-son, Bob Milla and his wife Georgette, his son Robbie and daughter Suzanne and four grandchildren; his step-daughter, Lynn Rustigan and her husband Dale, their daughters Sherry and Michelle and their four grandchildren; sisters, Ann, Jean and Sarah and numerous nephews and nieces.
Remembrances may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
