Helen, age 89, died on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at a Fresno nursing facility. Born on June 3, 1921, in Fresno, Ca., Helen lived her entire life in Fresno. She attended Fresno Technical High School, worked as the Personal Shopper at Rhodes Department Store and later worked in the Administration Office at Fresno State College. Helen was married to David Pfister Jr. for 64 years until his death in November of 2002. Helen's activities always revolved around family and friends. She was an active mem ber and past president of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia. Helen is survived by her daughters, Judith Koumrian and son-in law Edwin Koumrian of Berkeley, California; grandson Todd Koumrian of Palo Alto; and daughter Darlene McGuffin; and son-in-law, Robert McGuffin of San Diego.
