Gail Lynn Rocha, 62, peacefully passed away Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25th, 2022 at Memorial Hospital of Modesto. Gail was born November 14th, 1960 in Fresno, CA to Lupe and Bernard Franco. She grew up on her family’s ranch in Easton, California and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1978.
She caught the eye of her future husband, Phillip Anthony Rocha while out dancing with friends in 1983; they were married in March of 1988, and together had 3 sons, Phillip Anthony Rocha II, Dustin Anthony Rocha, and Derek Anthony Rocha. She took extreme pride in her boys.
Gail loved children, which was a large part of why she chose to become a teacher's aid for Pacific Union Elementary School in 1992. Mrs. Rocha touched many young lives during her time there.
She had a bright, compassionate spirit and is lovingly remembered by her husband Phillip Anthony Rocha; her son, Dustin Rocha; her sister, Jennifer Freitas; her brother, Bernie Franco; her nieces, Alexandria Jones, Emmalie Castro, Spenser Olmos, Brittanie Rocha, and Celeste Rocha; her nephews Lukas Franco, and Albert Gonzalez; and beloved dog Naomi. Gail is preceded in death by her son Phillip Anthony Rocha II, her father Bernard Franco, her son Derek Rocha, and her mother Lupe Franco.
A funeral for Gail will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 at 10:00 am at Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 L Street, Fresno, CA 93721 followed by a luncheon at the C.P.D.E.S Hall located in Easton at 172 W Jefferson Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
