Florentino is survived by seven children; Beatrice Engquist, Lucy Schmehl, Rosemary Morse, Patricia Armstrong, Philip Montalvo, Antonio Montalvo, David Montalvo; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He is pre-deceased by his son Florentino Montalvo, Jr.
Florentino migrated to Utah when he was in his teens to be with family. Married 55 years to his first wife Jennie who he met in Southern California. Jennie passed away in 1989. Our dad is remembered as a very loving, religious and hard working man who was always there for his family which consisted of five generations.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
