Dora was born on September 18, 1946, in McCook, Texas. She grew up in California’s Central Valley eventually calling Firebaugh her home. Dora graduated from Dos Palos High School and went directly into office administration, a career she enjoyed for many years. She dedicated her life to the westside agriculture community. Most recently her career found her meeting one-on-one with Ag clients. Dora emphasized the value of hard work, humility, and boldness, nurturing lifelong relationships built on trust and honesty. She understood the value of spending time with others, whether it be at a lunch meeting or parked on the side of a country road talking with a client sharing her expertise. She made time for all: family, friends, and Ag clients.
The magnitude of Dora’s absence is immeasurable, and she will be dearly missed by so many who do not know a life without her and her wisdom. She joins her father, Antonio M. Rosas; mother, Antonia M. Rosas; and siblings, Lucio Rosas, Conrad Rosas, and Javier Rosas. Dora leaves behind her partner in life, Avalardo Torres; her siblings, Maria Zamarripa, Irma Jimenez, Yolanda Brown, Tony Rosas Jr. Maria Eckel, Isabel Nash, Elias Rosas, and Lisa Rosas; and her numerous family members including Debbie, Karen, and William Feliz.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held in her honor. The family welcomes all who would like to share in celebrating and remembering such a kind, giving and thoughtful soul.
