Antonia and her husband Antonio came to the United States and began their life together;
their young family lived in Texas for a short time before settling in California’s Central Valley.
Some of the many things that brought Antonia joy were sewing, needlepoint, crocheting ,tending to her rose garden, and caring for her children,
grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.She enjoyed working in the fields of the Central Valley, instilling in her children the value of a hard day’s work. You would find Antonia on any day listening to her favorite music as she busied herself cleaning her home as the aroma of fresh tortillas filled the air for when her children arrived home from school. One of the many highlights of the year was the preparation of the traditional Christmas tamelería with the De La Cruz families. Each year, the party would go late into the night as we awaited the birth of baby Jesus on Christmas Eve.
Antonia is preceded in death, by her husband Antonio, son Conrrado and son Lucio.
She will be greatly missed by her 10 surviving children,
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the
Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
