Eric Edward Hauck

Eric Edward Hauck, age 48, Angola, Indiana, died October 2, 2015 at his home. Eric was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 12, 1967 to Dr. George and Mary Ann Hauck. Eric attended Indiana University and earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Journalism. He lived in Bloomington for many years. He was a web site designer and also taught journalism courses. Eric was passionate about the Indiana Hoosiers and was also an avid Detroit Tigers fan. He is survived by his stepmother, Susan Fershee, his brother Steven and wife Mary, his sister Laura Burlingame and husband Craig, his sister Linda Fellers and husband Tony, his nieces and nephews Jordan(Pete), Caitlin(Leo), Evan, Erin, Laura, Sam, Claire, Grant and Jackson, and many beloved friends.He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Hauck (Angola) and his father, George F. Hauck (Kansas City).

There will be visitation hours at the Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, Indiana on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Following Eric's wishes, cremation will take place and his ashes will be buried near his mother in Jamestown Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to either the Steuben County Humane Shelter or to the UCC First Congregational Church.
