He was born on March 15, 1947 in Cuba, New York, and was known as "Bobby" to his siblings.
Don married Helen Petras on July 24, 1976 in Montpelier, Ohio.
Don and Helen were missionary pastors in Lame Deer, Montana from 1982 until 1988. He later worked as an Industrial Lighting Salesman for Maintenance Engineering, Fargo, North Dakota. They later moved to Angola, Indiana, and he worked as a front desk manager at the Potawatomi Inn at Pokagon State Park.
He was a longtime member of the Angola Assembly of God. He enjoyed doing crafts, taking walks, attending grandchildren’s events and ball games, and loved to tell stories and make people laugh.
Don traveled around to different church’s to preach the gospel. Later in life he graduated from Trine University and was a substitute teacher for MSD of Steuben County. Most of all he loved his family and especially his wife of 48 years.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Hall of Angola, Indiana, children, Donald Hall, Jr., of Olean, New York, Michelle Hall of Angola, Indiana, Christina Hall of Portville, New York, Rodney Hall of Allegany, New York, Tammy (Jesus) Zarate of Angola, Indiana, and Chad (Carrie) Hall of Niles, Michigan, twenty grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, siblings, Ronald (Yo) Hall of Burlington, North Carolina, Julia “Patsy” George of Andover, New York, Sarah (Forrest) Card of Allegany, New York, Donna Hopkins of Georgia, and Dennis (Julie) Hall of Fillmore, New York, a brother-in-law, Robert Brown of Fillmore, New York, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta (Wilcox) Goulin, father, Donald Hall, grand-daughter, Libbie Hall, brothers, Steven Hall and Baby Hall, sister, Marguerite Brown, brother-in-law, Dennis Hopkins, and the beloved family dog, Peppie.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm until 7 pm Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the Angola Assembly of God, 1405 Williams Street, Angola, Indiana. Additional visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am Thursday prior to the service at the church.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the Angola Assembly of God, Angola, Indiana. Pastor Chris Cain will officiate the service.
Burial will follow the services at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana. Immediately follow the burial a meal will be provided at the Angola Assembly of God for all to attend.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Angola Assembly of God Church or to the family for funeral expenses.
