He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 29, 1988 to Mark Powell and Cheryl Clementi (Conner). He was raised primarily in the Bay Area, and was proud of it. Two and a half years ago, he became the father to a beautiful baby girl, Haven Isla, who he loved and cherished with all his heart.
He graduated from Liberty High School, and could easily be spotted driving in one of his many trucks. Marcus joined the family trade as a crane operator, and was a member of Operating Engineers Local 3. He lived his life to the fullest, reflected in his motto “Live Fast,” and enjoyed riding his dirt bike, hiking, playing the drums, bay area dance moves, lifting weights, hanging out with family, and listening to loud music. He was one of the most generous and kind people anyone has ever met, and was an active member of Jubilee Christian Center.
Marcus is survived by his daughter, Haven Isla Powell (mother, Amy Guidotti); three parents, Mark Powell, and Ron and Cheryl Clementi; one sister, Megan Vizzini and brother-in-law Eian Vizzini; three grandparents, Roberta Conner, Joseph “Mick” Powell and Marie Clementi; and cousins, aunts and uncles including, Danielle (Al), Michael, Alex, Cody, Chase, Robert, Michael, Lynn, Al, Cathy, Bob, Vic, Kim, Stan, Angie, Cindy, Gary, Jonti, Victor, Marco, Vince, Ginny, Gary (Kari), and Christopher (Sarah). Marcus is also survived by his lifelong friend, Ryan Johnson. He is predeceased by grandmother Joanne Powell, and grandfathers Robert Conner and Stanley Clementi.
Funeral service was held on June 7, 2014 at 10:30 am at Jubilee Christian Center. He has been laid to rest at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
