Efren Peña Rosas

Efren Peña Rosas, age 76, died on September 24, 2024 due to medical complications. He was born on August 12, 1948 in the town of Cimarron Chico, Mascota, Jalisco, Mexico. His parents were Esther Peña Rosas and Raymundo Curiel Rosas. He was the eldest of five siblings, the other four being Galdino, Edmundo, Sergio, and Maribelle. He is survived by his father, Raymundo Curiel Rosas, his brother Galdino and family, his brother Edmundo and wife Ana and family, his brother Sergio and wife Janina and family, and his sister Maribelle and husband Jose and family. Years ago his mother Esther Peña Rosas died.

He immigrated with his parents and two brothers to the United States in 1959. The other two brothers were later born in California. His family settled in the Imperial Valley in the city of Imperial. After graduating from high school he moved to Oakland, California to the Fruitvale neighborhood. Years later he moved to the city of Milpitas. A few years later he moved back to Imperial to take care of his parents. In 2006 he returned to Milpitas bringing his parents with him. He lived happily in Milpitas caring for his parents and also attentively helping his siblings' families until he died.

All the nephews remember Efren well for his personal style of cooking. Efren was a nice person who was friendly to everyone.

A committal service will be held for Efren on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 2:00PM, with the blessing from Father Andy Ligot at 2:30PM. The service will be held at Cedar Lawn Cemetery at 48800 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont CA 94539.

Sus padres fueron Esther Peña Rosas y Raymundo Curiel Rosas. El fue el mayor de cinco hermanos, los otros cuatro siendo Galdino, Edmundo, Sergio, y Maribelle. Le sobreviven su papa, Raymundo Curiel Rosas, su hermano Galdino y familia, su hermano Edmundo y esposa Ana y familia, su hermano Sergio y esposa Janina y familia, y su hermana Maribelle y esposo Jose y familia. Años atras fallecio su mama Esther Peña Rosas.

Se imigro con sus padres y dos hermanos a Estados Unidos en 1959. Los otros dos hermanos nacieron despues en California. Su familia se establecio en el valle de Imperial en la ciudad de Imperial. Despues de graduarce de la escuela alta se movio a Oakland, California a la vecindad de Fruitvale. Años despues se cambio a la ciudad de Milpitas. Otros años despues se cambio para atras a Imperial para cuidar de sus padres. En 2006 volvio a Milpitas trayendo con el a sus padres. Vivio alegremente en Milpitas cuidando a sus padres y tambien ayudando atentamente a las familias de sus hermanos hasta que murio.

Todos los sobrinos se acuerdan bien de Efren por su estilo personal de cocinar. Efren fue una persona bonita de amistad con todos.
