 Obituario de Travis Elliott Oatman
Travis Elliott Oatman (1995–2024) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Travis Elliott Oatman, age 28, of Fredericksburg, VA, who died unexpectedly at his home on November 2, 2024. Travis was born in Lynchburg, VA, in 1995 to Thomas and Cindy Oatman, who filled his childhood with cherished memories of beach vacations, four-wheeling adventures, and memorable charter fishing trips. He attended Potomac High School before earning his degree in Project Management from Liberty University in 2018. After seven years of dating, he married Taylor Ford, in 2018. In 2022, they joyfully welcomed their son, Asher Elliott Oatman. Being a father was the greatest joy of his life. He took great pride in teaching Asher the joys of fishing, ATV riding, and even driving heavy equipment such as skid steers and track hoes. He was a cherished brother to Thomas James Oatman and Alexandra Oatman Holt. Alexandra and her husband, Jacob Holt, along with their twin daughters, Abigail and Elaina, will always hold Travis’s memory close. Travis was also loved as a son by his in-laws, Chris and Angie Ford, with whom he shared more than half his life. He recently had the joy of celebrating his grandmother Ruth’s 95th birthday. Travis was a passionate outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, boating, water sports, skiing and four-wheeling. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the beauty of nature at every opportunity. His family and friends will forever remember his smile, his quiet strength, resilience, his capacity to love unconditionally, and that all he put his heart and mind to, he did with excellence. Travis is survived by his wife, Taylor; his son, Asher; his son to be born in March; his parents, Thomas and Cindy Oatman; his grandmother, Ruth; his brother, Thomas James Oatman; his sister, Alexandra Oatman Holt, and her husband Jacob; his nieces, Abigail and Elaina; his in-laws, Chris and Angie Ford; and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly. A celebration of Travis’s life will be held on November 9, 2024 at 4pm at Mullins & Thompson, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA. Visitation will be held from 3 to 4pm and a reception will be held after services. Travis will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend
