Richard L Harmon

Richard L Harmon, age 84, of Stafford, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Paramount Senior Living at Fredericksburg. He was born on March 11, 1939, in Bakersfield, California, son of the late J.T. Harmon and Ruby Harmon (Kennedy). He brought love and passion to his work as a pastor, had a love for traveling – especially England, and was an avid sports fan. His father, J.T. Harmon and his mother, Ruby Harmon preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Lavenia(Nadine) Harmon; daughter, Susan Underwood; son, Richard Harmon; sisters, Jackie Christopher and Harriett Sutherlin; brothers, Jim Harmon, Tom Harmon, Keith Harmon and Paul Harmon; grandchildren, Russ Underwood, Christina Underwood, Aislinn Harmon and Sydney Harmon; great grandchild, Addisyn Underwood. A memorial service for Richard will be held Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Community Baptist Church, 44 Lorenzo Dr, Fredericksburg, VA 22405. Following the memorial service will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1902 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, VA.
