Janice Leigh Sealy-Burton

Janice Sealy-Burton, 71, of Fredericksburg, Va, danced her way into the heavenly band on September 27, 2023 in Henrico, Va. Born on June 20, 1952 in Fredericksburg, Va, Janice was the life of the party, spreading joy and sass wherever she went. She had a voice that could make angels jealous and shared her musical talents as the lead singer in countless bands. When she wasn't hitting high notes, Janice dedicated over 30 years of her career to keeping Virginia's roads in tip-top shape at the Virginia Department of Transportation. Janice leaves behind her nephews, Richard Pates and Cole Pates, her god sent friend, Mark Wigglesworth and a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Mason Sealy, her mother, Christine Sealy, her sister, Reta Pates, and her son, Dennis Beall. They say heaven gained another angel, but we know she's already rocking the celestial stage. Join us for a celebration of Janice's life at the graveside services on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 10 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fredericksburg, Va. Instead of flowers, Janice would've wanted you to make a donation to your local animal shelter in her memory. After all, she had a soft spot for furry friends.
