Catherine Elizabeth Bell Anderson, age 65, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Mary Washington Hospital Fredericksburg, Virginia. She was born Bambi Lee Hoehne on Friday, March 13, 1959, in the backseat of a blue Chevy, on the way to the hospital, in Quanah, TX, to Patricia Darlene (Kincannon) Hoehne and the late Walter Hoehne, Jr.
The family, including her older brothers Randy and Ricky, later moved to Mountain Park, OK before moving to Altus, OK in 1962. In Altus, Catherine attended Wilson Elementary School and Central Jr. High School before moving to Michigan and then Texas.
Catherine moved to Virginia in 1988 where she raised her two children, Damien and Chloe.
Catherine worked as paralegal for the prestigious law firm McGuire Woods in McLean, VA. She was also a devoted Nurse’s Aide in Assisted Living.
Catherine enjoyed pursuing the arts in mosaic and glass art, jewelry design, and piano. She loved RV traveling, ice skating, and all dogs. More than anything, Catherine was known as a generous, warm, and loving mother. In April 2002, she married her husband, William R. Anderson, Jr. They moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia in 2011 and to Spotsylvania in 2018.
Catherine is preceded in death by her Maternal grandparents, Harold and Birdie Kincannon, Altus, OK; Paternal grandparents, Walter and Nell Hoehne, Blair, OK; Father Walter Hoehne, Jr. and his wife, Theresa, Altus, OK; Brother Ricky Hoehne, Altus, OK; Stepdad Gary Saturen, Fairfax Station, VA.
She is survived by her Mother, Patricia Darlene Saturen, Ft. Valley, VA; Husband, William R. Anderson, Jr., Spotsylvania, VA; Children, Damien S. Bell and Chloe M. Bell; Grandchildren, Alexander William Bell and Madeline Lee Bell; Brother Randy Hoehne, Guthrie, OK; Sister Angel (Ed) Roeder, Ft. Valley, VA; Nephews, Chris (Lisa) Dickerson, Edmond, OK, Daniel Roeder, Moab, UT, Andrew (Mandy) Roeder, Centreville, VA, Cody and Zack Hoehne, OKC, OK; Grandnieces, Eden Dickerson, Edmond, OK, Avery Roeder, Centreville, VA; Aunt Norma Nelson, St. Louis, MO; Cousins, Sabrena, MO, Shari MO, and Sonja, WI, Nelson; Step siblings, Michael Saturen, OH, and Angela Arnold, FL.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401 where a Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home.
