Carl Wister Garrison, age 82, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at his residence. He was born on June 9, 1936 in King George County, the son of the late James W. and Elsie (Goerlitz) Garrison. He retired as Supervisor of Materials Verification Lab at the North Anna Nuclear Power Plant. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, V. Gail Garrison of Fredericksburg, VA; two sons, James E. Garrison of Fredericksburg, VA and M. Shayne Garrison and wife Barbara of Orange, VA; one daughter, Kim D. Garrison of Weyers Cave, VA; one brother, Dr. Stuart R. Garrison and wife Cynthia of Tucson, AZ; one sister, Amelia Volante and husband Francis of King George, VA; two grandchildren, Holly Tate and husband Keith of Woodbridge, VA and Carley Garrison of Stafford, VA; two great granddaughters, Ava and Zoe Tate. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00am Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel where funeral services will be held at 10:00am with Rev. Jeff Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Spotsylvania SPCA, 10819 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408
