Timothy Alan Kirkwood

Timothy Alan Kirkwood, age 42, of Franklin, Ohio passed away on December 25, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born on December 15, 1979 in Kettering, Ohio to parents Tom and Cheryl Kirkwood (Chambers).

Timothy grew up as a member of the Franklin Baptist Church, a church his grandfather started in 1964, and has been attending the Vineyard Church for over 15 years. He has been employed by Parts Express for over 9 years. Tim loved camping, kayaking, and fishing with his girls, and attending air shows in Wisconsin with his Uncle Jim and Aunt Linda. He also liked spending his free time in the evenings talking on his HAM radio, call sign KE8TAK. Tim loved to help people whether changing a tire, fixing a lawnmower, or rebuilding a computer. If he didn’t know how to fix it, he’d learn.

Mr. Kirkwood was preceded in death by his grandfather, Reverend Dale G. Chambers; and grandmother Elene Kirkwood.

Tim is survived by his loving wife Crystal Kirkwood (Alexander); daughters, Grace and Makayla Kirkwood; step-children, Shelby and Logan Stare; parents, Tom and Cheryl Kirkwood; brother, Steve (Amanda) Kirkwood; grandmother, Joyce Chambers; niece, Anna Kirkwood; nephew, Adam Kirkwood; Aunt Donna King; mother and father in law Paul and Sandra Alexander.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Franklin Baptist Church, 160 Deardoff Road, Franklin, Ohio 45005. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating. Burial will take place at Springboro Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to set up a trust for Grace and Makayla Kirkwood c/o the Vineyard Church.
