Tom graduated from Franklin High School in 1963. He proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam, where he received the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service in the Republic of Vietnam during the period of September 1968 - 1969. He also received The Soldiers Medal for heroism in the Republic of Vietnam on February 24, 1969. He retired from Burrows in 2009, after many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jamie Clifford; sister, Ella Mae Neff, and immediately just before by his sister, Betty White; In-Laws, Reverend Glyn and Mary White.
Tom is survived by his wife of 59 years Tobey Clifford (White); daughter, Ginger Clifford-Cox (Michael Moorehouse); son, Thomas Clifford; grandchildren, Zachary Clifford, Skylar Cox, Jamison Clifford, Bryson, and Carsyn; great grandsons, Oliver, and Tristan Clifford; sisters, Mary Morton, Sue (Roger) Minton, Benita (John) Spencer; brothers, Bill Clifford, and Gary Clifford; sister in-laws, Janie (Tim) Hodges, and Cheryleen Copas; bonus daughter, Kathy Trent; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family of Tom would like to give a special thanks to the kind and caring staff of Hospice of Dayton as well as Hospice of Butler Warren Counties. They would also like to thank the Veterans Social Commanders.
A visitation for Thomas will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio 45005, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Springboro Cemetery.
