Scott Middleton

R. Scott Middleton, age 50, of Lebanon, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 7, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 15, 1962 in Georgetown, Ohio, the son of Gene Middleton and Shirley Richardson Middleton. Scott earned a Bachelor's Degree from Nyack College in Nyack, New York, and received a Master's Degree from the University of Dayton after graduation from Lebanon High School. He was a small business owner, professional classical singer, a writer, and was very active in his church. Scott served as an elder and outreach minister at Centerville Community Church where he touched many lives across the community. Scott is survived by his parents, Gene and Shirley Middleton; one brother, Adam Carol Middleton of Centerville; one sister, Gena Middleton of Middletown; his fiancé, Nancy Wilson of West Chester; seven nephews and one niece, Klark and Grant Middleton, Evan and Jonathan DeHart, Eric and David Knapp, Michael Wilson, and Emily Rupert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Farquis Middleton. Funeral services will be 11:30 AM, Wednesday at the Centerville Community Church, with Dr. David Presher officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at the Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Centerville Community Church Outreach Ministries, 10688 Dayton Lebanon Pike, Centerville, Ohio 45458 to continue the work he loved.
