Mary Ross

Mary Elizabeth "Sally" Ross age 94, of Middletown passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center. She was born October 18, 1917, to Woodson and Elizabeth Swope Henry in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Sally worked for several years at First National Bank in Middletown. She enjoyed spending time with her family and in her younger years, she enjoyed fishing in Michigan, and ballroom dancing. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Josephine Baker; and husbands, Frank Omohundro, Walter James and Adrian Ross. She is survived by her son, James Jeannine Omohundro of Lexington, Kentucky, and daughter, Carol John Melton of Middletown. Other survivors include 7 grandchildren, Leslie Bruner, James Omohundro, Dawn Omohundro, John Omohundro of Lexington, and Douglas Sherie Omohundro of Versailles, Kentucky, Jody Anthony Gilkison of Springboro and Jeffrey Melton of Middletown; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hawthorn Glen and Hospice of Dayton for their care and support. Private services will be conducted by Pastor Michelle Terry at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery, Monroe. Memorial contributions may be made to Crohns and Colitis Foundation, 386 Park Avenue South, 17th Floor, NY, NY 10016.
