Geneva Halsey

Geneva Linn Halsey, age 71, of Trenton, died Wednesday morning, December 15, 2010 at her home. She was born April 1, 1939 in Bowen, Kentucky, the daughter of Issac Holt Friend and Nell Darrell Friend. Geneva worked in the Family businesses of Warren County Lumber and a former family business, Halsey-Myers. She is survived by three sons, Marvin Clay Karen Halsey, Jr. of Trenton, Michael Dale Sharon Halsey of Madison, Tennessee, Mark Christopher Shawna Halsey of Trenton; 12 grandchildren, Damon, Lindsey, Brian, Becki, Travis, Valerie, Brett, Bethany, Jadyn, Chloe, Seth, Brock; eight great grandchildren, Ashton, Katie, Maddy, Luke, Kaileigh, Bryson, Lincoln, Emma; one sister, Joan Miller; and one brother, Orville Friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Halsey, Sr. in 1989, and one brother, Lawrence Friend. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 AM until Noon at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 noon with Reverend Gary Willoughby and Pastor Lawrence Bishop officiating.
