David Begley

David Allen Begley, age 72, of Gratis Township, died Monday, December 19, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 29, 1939 in Wooton, Kentucky, the son of Sam Begley and Stella Bailey Begley. David worked at AK Steel retiring after 30 years of service. He loved going to car shows and anything else with his wife and children. David played in a band for ten years with Del Edwards and his Sidemen. He enjoyed gardening and giving away the produce to others. Often you would see him walking up and down the road picking up trash and visiting the neighbors. He was a member of C.A.R.E., an Armco retirees group. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Jean Schul Begley; one son, Scott Belinda; one daughter, Lisa Mark; one brother, Woodson Iris; and a twin sister, Jessie Rowie Sizemore. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Oma Melton, Eliza Combs, Hazel Van Pelt, Zola Rice; and two brothers, Don and Harvey Begley.
