Calvin Carroll Hood

Calvin Carroll Hood, age 90, of Franklin, Ohio, died Saturday December 10, 2016 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. He was born in Fountain City, Tennessee on August 21, 1926 to William and Bertha (Letterman) Hood. Calvin was a sawmill employee in Tennessee and moved to Ohio in 1955 working with Stone Container for 43 years and retired in 1991. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hood whom he married March 10, 1949, father, William Earl Hood, mother, Bertha Hood, sisters, Helen, Mary, Carol, and Mary Elizabeth, brothers, William, Robert, Harold. Calvin is survived by his four sons, William Hood, Roger Hood, Scott Hood, Rick Hood; six daughters, Becky Gentry, Sue Manson, Helen Grim, Pat Esselman, Peggy Mattox, Betty Abling; one sister, Virginia Hood Rader. Funeral services are 12:00 pm Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Josh Clifford officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
