Billy Moss Chasteen

Billy Moss Chasteen, age 74 of Turtlecreek Township died on Wednesday October 6, 2021 at the Dayton VA Hospital. He was born in Berea, KY on May 27, 1947 to parents Theodore and Anna (nee Miller) Chasteen.

Billy proudly served in the United States Navy, and also retired from Akers Packaging after 40 years. He was known as a hardworking man and family man. Mr. Chasteen was an avid bowler, bowling on many teams, and loved his blue 1969 Ford Mustang.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Chasteen; sister, Lucy Miller; and brother, Phillip Chasteen;

Billy is survived by his daughter, Penny Brock (Gary Sargent); son, William Joseph (Crystal) Chasteen; grandchildren, Jordyn Chasteen, Dalton and Katlyn Brock; sisters, Betty Rowland, Mary Hymer, Robin Chasteen, and Sherry Chasteen; brother, David Chasteen; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation for Billy will be on Monday October 25, 2021 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second Street, Franklin, Ohio 45005. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm with Brian Morris officiating. Burial with military honors will take place at Woodhill Cemetery.
