Billie Ray McGuire was born on Monday September 26, 1932 in Vance Fork , Kentucky to Russell McGuire and Virginia McGuire ( Haney) and left this life on October 6, 2021 at the home he shared with his beloved wife of 69 years Betty Jo McGuire ( Francis ) and surrounded by his family that loved him dearly . He was the oldest of four siblings Anna Rose Taylor , Reford ( Juanita ) McGuire and Jimmie ( Sherry ) McGuire .Billie is survived by his 5 beloved children Donnie ( Ingrid ) McGuire , Greg McGuire , Kim ( Greg) Green , Denise ( Timmy ) Green and Danette McGuire . 13 grandchildren

DeeDee McGuire , Chastity ( Charlie ) Dean , Chad McGuire , Holly ( JoJo ) Paletta , Heather McGuire , Sara ( Neil ) Bowman , Jesse Perkins , Richie Green , Cameron Green , Ryan Green , Patrick ( Krista ) Green and Dylan McGuire . 27 great grandchildren and 5 great - great grandchildren, and numerous nieces ,nephews and friends . Billie Ray or as he was known as “ Yogi “ worked for 30 years at Delco Moraine in Dayton, Ohio retiring in 1992 to enjoy the things he loved most in his life which included horse racing , Nascar ( Dale Earnhardt and Junior ) , Kentucky Wildcat basketball , the Cincinnati Reds ,and most of all his family and love of God . Billie Ray was diagnosed in December of 2018 with Multiple Myeloma but never let that diagnosis sway him from the great man he was , never complaining preferring to put his faith in his wonderful doctor he thought immensely of Dr. Rajsheker and of course the good lord above . After beating all odds put upon him and exhausting every means ,he joined his Savior the Lord Jesus Christ . Billie departed this life in the exact same manner he always lived it with dignity , grace and humility as distinguished in death as he was in his entirety. Billie is proceeded in death by his father Russell (2000) , Mother Virgie ( 2006 ) younger brother Reford (2010) and nephew Tracy Taylor (2004) . Those of us blessed to have been loved by him shall not mourn his passing but do as he would and bask in the light he’s forever left us with . Visitation will be held on Friday October 15, 2021 5-8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. Second St. Franklin , OH . Funeral services will be held Saturday October 16, 2021 also at Anderson Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 pm with Pastor Josh Clifford conducting the service with burial immediately proceeding at Springboro cemetery 2348 W. Lower Springboro Rd . Springboro , OH . The family will be having a celebration of life at the commencement of services at Franklin Golf Course 180 N. Main St . Franklin , Ohio 45005 .
