Sue had been a vendor and a board member of the Pakatakan Farmers’ Market in Halcottsville, and a vendor at the Franklin Farmers’ Market in Franklin.
In 2006 she began working for Erna Morgan McReynolds at Morgan Stanley until she retired in 2012. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, went to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln before moving to Manhattan where she worked in the textile business for twenty years.
She was married to writer Jim Mullen for 44 years and often appeared as a character in his books and columns. She is survived by seven brothers and sisters and eight aunts and uncles, eleven nieces and nephews. She had spent two weeks visiting them in September.
Sue requested that there be no funeral service, but rather a party “if you have to do something.” Plans for the party will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Catskill Area Hospice and the St. Peter’s ALS Regional Center in Albany.
