Robert passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024, after experiencing a stroke in 2018 and then a slow decline, with heart failure, he was called home to rest in peace. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Kramer and Herbert Bell, his wife Betty Bell of 32 years, and his son David Bell, also two siblings went before him, Maryann Studstill and his oldest brother Charlie Bell.
He is survived in death by his significant other of 33 years, Sigrid Zamskie, and his two daughters Cathy Bell and Kym Colyer and husband Mike. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Jerry Bell and wife Betty, Jim Bell and wife Sandie, and Mike Bell and wife Candy. As well as a sister Bonnie Mancl and husband Ron. Bob also had many grandchildren whom he loved and who have survived him-in order of age they are; Alicia Bell, David Bell jr. Brandon Bell, Aubry Colyer, Devin Colyer, Hyllarie Simons, Falcon Bell, Savannah Colyer and Samantha Bell.
Bob had a love for his country and for the outdoors. He served in the army from 1951-1972 when he retired as a Sergeant first class. He served in two wars- the Korean War and the Vietnam war. He was a very brave and honorable man.
Bob was an avid hunter from the time he was a young man and often had deer, pheasant or duck meat ready to prepare and share.
Bob was a great father, grandfather and friend. Bob could always be counted on to help someone in need whether it be moving, building something or to fix a vehicle. One of his main character traits was that he had a great sense of humor and loved to tease people and joke around, and he had an infectious smile. Bob also loved card games and had a regular poker group that he played poker with for a very long time.
Bob served his community as a life member of the American Legion, member of the VFW and the knights of Columbus and was very active with friends and family.
Bob you were loved by many and will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know you.
