Merle Dean Taylor born March 11, 1966, in Holyoke, CO. to Jerry and Donna Matson Taylor, lived on family ranch until 2 1/2 when father went back to college in Chadron, NE. attended grade school in Chadron, NE., Scottsbluff, NE.in 1986 moved to Gering, NE. to finish grade school, middle school and high school, attended Pikes Peak Community College 1 ½ years before becoming ill with kidney disease in 1992 had 1st transplant which lasted 4 years, 1997 had second kidney transplant work never ever worked taken out two months later.
Dean was active in National Kidney Foundation and top fundraiser in kidney walk 2020 even with covid and sick as he was.
Loved all racing which was enjoyed on his family as well. Played many kinds of cards and was really good at some of them, loved playing with this grandparents at an early age.
Mr. Taylor was an active collector of many things: hat pins, hats NHRA cars and met John Force, playboy magazines, Broncos paraphernalia, matchbox cars and Nascar collection. His KISS collection was his favorite, going to every concert in Denver for 3 years. Dean leaves behind his mother and father; he will be missed by many and loved by many more.
He departed this life at midnight on April 19, 2021 at home with his parents by his side. He will be remembered for his faith in God and his determination to always overcome that kidney disease.
