LEWIS GARNETT

On May 29, 1941 the world was blessed with the birth of Lewis Garnett in Detroit Michigan. His parents Mary Jane and Edward Garnett both proceeded him in death. One older sibling, Vernalene Garnett, also proceeding him in death.
Lewis attended Detroit Public Schools and after graduating Northern High School he joined the United States Army. While stationed in Mannheim, Germany, he met and married Lieselotte to this union begat Peter (Diane) Stein, Katharine (Gordon) Salazar and his adopted grandson Tristan Garnett. He retired from the military to Colorado Springs where Lieselotte proceeded him in death.
After retiring, he took on a second job at UCCS there he met and married the love of his life Glenda on January 2, 2012.
Lewis loved to joke around with people. He loved wearing flashy suits (making sure they matched what his wife was wearing). He loved holding his wife’s hand. He also loved fishing, gardening, his tetra fishpond in his back yard and restoring classical cars.
He loved family. He leaves to mourn his memory his wife Glenda, his children, her offsprings, Milton (Shelissa) Jones, Patricia (Albert Sr.) Harvey, Anthony Jones, Alexisius Jones Sr and Andre Jones. A special aunt Ethel 24 grandkids, 20 great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
