Dear Momma, Rest In Peace,
With Jesus our Lord above,
You were celebrated, by all..

Coral roses, Hummingbirds, Christmas trees of pine,
We laughed and cried, sang songs,
Shared stories, pictures and such,
Toasted with love, full glasses of pink wine...
All will miss you so much..

Your legacy of Mother lives on,
Our Colorado roots grow deep,
Daughters, Son and Grandchildren strong,
Our Memories of you we keep.

Over the past year and a half my 3 year old son has lost a few family members and we were having a hard time figuring out a way to help him understand, until one day we told him they were stars in the sky looking down on him. So every night he goes out and looks for them in the sky, now his great grandma Joan is another star in the sky he will look up at the sky every night and yell to the stars, I miss you.

Mom,
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered "Come to me "

Grandma, 
I tend to struggle putting my feelings into words, so bare with me when I write this. Even though when you lived with me I didn't always come in to see or talk to you, or even have you on my mind that day, I know you still frequently thought of me. If I hadn't see you in couple of days you would ask my mother how I was doing. You were always concerned about what I was currently busy with in my life at that time and I truly appreciate that. Any time I had something big my life I know you couldnt be there at time, but you were always still apart of that moment. When I would rank up or get a new medal in NJROTC the first thing I would do when I got home was to show you. Any time I had a dance or fancy date with Marc and I bought a new dress I would always come in and show you. You would always tell me how beautiful I looked. You weren't your typical Grandma in the kitchen baking cookies and showering your grand kids with gifts but that was okay because you meant well and was loving in your own way. You always cared about me and was always so sweet to me. I do regret not spending more time with you when you lived with me or when you were at Cheyenne, but I am thankful for the years I did get to spend, cook, and care for you. I'm thankful that you are in heaven with all of our family that we miss as well. You're happy, healthy and not alone. I still look in your room every once and a while, for a split second I would wonder where you are but then I remember that you are with The Lord. I love you dearly Grandma and I pray that The Lord gives you the opportunity to read this and know that I do think about you and that I miss you. Thank you for all the good memories Grandma, I love you.

Rest In Peace Joan know God has you in his Loving arms now You will be Dearly Missed..Love Prayers And Condolances to those you Left behind Prayers for the Family..

Although I only met Aunt Joan once when I was very small, I am thankful for those memories.  I have pictures that I will cherish forever. RIP Aunt Joan

Hi Mom. I miss you and love you very much. I am also happy that you are no longer afraid and in pain... I am glad God gave you to me. You were always there for me whenever I needed you. You always treated me in a very loving way. I have the best memories that any daughter could have. I remain forever your loving daughter and we will be together again in God's beautiful mansion. As Daniel's fiance of 5 years, Kathy's oldest son, I had the privilege to know her that long as well. She was such an amazing, kind and loving woman who also had a great sense of humor. When we had our son Abraham, he also got the privilege to know his great grandma where he would always go in her room and talk to her. She will be missed greatly, but glad she is now in God's arms and in a better place. Abraham will look up to the sky and see you as a beautiful star knowing you are still looking down on all of us. We love you Joan.

I miss you already Aunt Joan. I'm so thankful you aren't in pain any longer and are peaceful. Tell my mom hello and I love her. I'm glad you 3 can talk for hours now and hear each other. Love and hugs until we meet again

If roses grow in Heaven, Lord
Please pick a bunch for me
Place them in my Grandma's arms
And tell her they're from me.
Tell her that I love and miss her
And when she turns to smile
Place a kiss upon her cheek 
And hold her for a while.
