Avis June Heinrich, age 76, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Avis is now with her Lord Jesus Christ. She had prayed to go home to be with Him for some time during her illness. She was a Veteran who served in the U.S. Army for 13 years as a Fixed Station Communications Operator with Great Distinction, in Germany, Korea and Hawaii. Avis took an early retirement as a Sergeant thereafter. She will be extremely missed; however, we know she is without pain and in Great Joy in Heaven and all of us who are Born Again will be with her one day. She was a Wife, Mother, GrandMother, and a Great GrandMother.

• Married Robert F Heinrich Jan 7, 1995
• Children: Rayla, Anela, Curtis and Sasha – Stepchildren: Christy, Heather and Lillian.
• Grandchildren: More than 13.
• Great Grandchildren: More than 15.
• Earliest ambition: At 9 wanted to be a registered nurse.
• Things that made her laugh: Babies, stupid things, weddings, elderly people and first graders.
• Proudest family moments: When her 3 kids graduated high school and when her Mom graduated nursing school.
• Her proudest career accomplishments: Time served in the US Army
• What she hoped others learned from her: To have respect for other people – Your word is your bond, integrity, honesty, and loyalty
• Her special achievements: Got to see the world while in the military. (1980 – 1992) Germany, Hawaii, Fort Carson, CO – Fort Lewis WA, Korea and Fort Bragg SC.
• Her favorite song: He touched me, by Elvis.
• Her favorite colors: All colors of the rainbow.
• Her pastimes and hobbies: Crocheting and reading.
• What she loved the most: God, family, and friends.
• How she would like to be remembered: No grieving, she is where she wants to be with Jesus and the people she loved.
