I served in the United States Army for years prior to moving to Texas in 2000. On April 18, 2021, the Lord called me home in a peaceful way. I am preceded in death by my sister, Latoya Davis and brother James Darrell Young (JD).

Those who are left to cherish my precious memories are my fiancé, Leonica Woods (Wifey); parents Samuel J. Davis Sr. (Sally), and Deborah Richard (Kenneth May); children, Arianna Leonard, Londyn Davis, Skyla Davis, Journee Woods, Chasity Cannon, Erica Cannon and Jewel Cannon; grandchild, Alauna Jackson; siblings, Lakesha Harris, Soncerae Douglas, Jacqulyn Davis and Sheryl Davis; aunts and uncles, Ada Collier, Willie Joyce Watson and Mary Jene Page; 12 nieces and nephews; 5 great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
