Ruby Faye Walker

Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Everman Church of Christ, 1020 Townley Drive, Everman. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth.

Ruby was the third child of seven born to Willie and Freddy Crawford, born on Sept. 24, 1939, in Eastland. No job was too big or too small that would aid in providing for her family. She retired as the custodial supervisor for the Everman Independent School District after serving the district for 28 years. Ruby also joyously served in the kitchen ministry aiding the youth, various ministry programs and those who lost loved ones in her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Walker; parents, Willie and Freddy Crawford; son, Fred Fowler; sister, Hattie Elliot; and brother, Charles Wright.

Survivors: Daughter, Cynthia Beasly; son, Wallace E. Hood (Tory); stepdaughters, Annie Jo Lewis, Evelyn LeBlanc (Ivan), Gustine Rogers and Tammy Walker; stepson, Mister Lee Leathers; brothers, Roston King, Huey Edward Turner (Glenda), Bobby Jean Turner (Artis) and Glen Wayne Turner (Suzanne); sister-in-law, Hattie Sue Wright; six grandchildren; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
