Ruben J. Edwards Sr., a retired postal employee, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday at Great Commission Baptist Church,7700 McCart Ave., Dr. Douglas E. Brown pastor/teacher, eulogist. Interment: Laurel Land Cemetery with military honors. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors, and from 7 to 8 p.m. at the church. Survivors: Wife, Claudette Edwards; children, Ruth Edwards, Ruben Edwards Jr., LaKecious Edwards (Richard), Ruben D. Edwards; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
