Rosemary Whittle Mitchell

Visitation: Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Graveside Service, Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11am at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Rosemary was born in Greenville, TX, August 3, 1924 to William Ray ad Edna Peevey Whittle, grew up in a Christian home along with brothers William Wade and Charles David Whittle and grandmother, Georgia Miers. She graduated from Handley High School. Her interest included piano, dancing, and home economics. She married George Reynolds Mitchell November 1, 1941. They were blessed with two daughters, Ray Frances and Georgeann, and two granddaughters, amy Davis and SchylerMagdziak and two great-grandchildren, Kylie Foster and Mitchell Magdziak.

During World War II she worked at various jobs while her husband was overseas until she and the family joined military husband and father twice in Japan and various cities in the USA. Her family will especially remember her cooking, sewing, and generous caring hospitality. Family and friends alike would have stood in line to enjoy some of her chocolate pie and banana pudding...and we are sorry to say that the kitchen is closed.

Rosemary is survived by daughter Ray Frances Lorenz and husband, Roger Lorenz; daughter, Georgeann Mitchel; granddaughters, Amy Davis and Schyler Magdziak, great-grandchildren, Kylie Foster and Mitchell Magdziak.
